King Rex, a Toy Aussie, is a little beauty that is always smiling. Currently residing with his caring dog parents in Honolulu, Hawaii, he loves taking long walks in the beautiful outdoors, experiencing all that nature has to offer. He especially loves playing around in the water with his waterproof leash, which earned him the official Mountain Shiba title of Water Adventure King. Perhaps the best part of that is that he gets to do it with two of his favorite people. Here’s a quick little overview of this good boy’s story and how he was destined to find his true people.

How Rex Found His Family

King Rex’s dog mom was once taking a road trip with her husband and brother-in-law when they were in Utah. As they journeyed under the bright sun, the married couple decided to make a quick stop at a dog petting place. All that was present on Rex’s dog mom’s mind was that she wanted to snuggle around some playful puppies.

When they reached there, among the many gorgeous little creatures, her eyes feel toward an Aussie pup that reminded her a lot of the doggo she grew up with. At that moment, she realized it was fate and requested to take the pup outside. There, the energetic little boy would dart between her and her husband, his tail continuously wagging and excitement on his face. The chemistry was palpable.

So, despite living in an apartment that didn’t allow pets, her husband encouraged her to adopt the pup. He noticed a completely different emotional side of her when she was with Rex. So, after waiting for three whole months, King Rex finally found the people he’d been looking for. As fate would have it, Rex’s dad, who serves in the military was offered a transfer position in Hawaii. As exciting as this was, the process of getting the pup’s documents and tests in order was long and tedious. His parents had to be 100% certain that Rex would not have to undergo a quarantine once they arrived in Hawaii. Luckily, Rex and his family made the safe journey without any hiccups and so Rex’s new life as an island dog began.

Now, King Rex lives in Honolulu, where he loves spending time outdoors with his dog parents while adventuring new places and making splashes along the way.
